New My Hero Academia watch collection features four of the best ever anime collab timepieces
A new collection of limited-edition, solar-powered watches has been announced by the brand Angel Clover, in a collaboration with the globally popular anime series My Hero Academia.
The new product line features four different models, each one designed with a different hero from the series as its inspiration.
The designs are packed with a number of subtle and clever details that are references to the characters’ “Quirks,” their hero costumes, and their iconic moments from the story.
The full lineup of four new watches is as follows:
- Izuku Midoriya Model
This green-based watch features sub-dials with an icon for his “Dark Deku” form and a “SMASH!!” explosion effect, a second hand designed to look like his “Blackwhip” Quirk, and an engraving of “ONE FOR ALL” on the back.
- Katsuki Bakugo Model
A black-based watch with an explosive design, this model has sub-dials with an image of his grenade gauntlet and a “BOOM!!” effect, and the back is engraved with his hero name and his “EXPLOSION” Quirk.
- Shoto Todoroki Model
This model represents his “Half-Cold Half-Hot” Quirk with a split design.
One sub-dial is blue for his ice power, the other is red for his fire, and even the hour and minute hands are split into blue and red halves.
- All Might Model
Themed after the “Symbol of Peace,” this blue-based watch features two different sub-dials, one with an icon for his powerful “Muscle Form” and the other for his skinny “True Form.”
The back is engraved with his famous catchphrase, “FEAR NOT. I AM HERE.”
Each of the four different, solar-powered watches is priced at ¥26,400 (approx. $179 USD/£132 GBP).
Pre-orders for the new collection began on Monday, the 6th of October, via the official Angel Clover website, and the watches are scheduled to be released on Friday, the 21st of November.
