New images of the huge new PG UNLEASHED 1/60 ν/Nu Gundam revealed by BANDAI
BANDAI SPIRITS has revealed more details about the upcoming PERFECT GRADE UNLEASHED 1/60 ν Gundam (Nu Gundam) Gunpla kit.
As part of their “Gunpla 45th Anniversary Special Broadcast!” livestream, they shared new information and previewed a prototype of the model kit.
This preview provided fans with a detailed look at what they can expect from the new PERFECT GRADE UNLEASHED model kit of the ν Gundam, also known as the Nu Gundam, from “Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack”.
The kit is the first-ever 1/60 scale rendition of the ν Gundam and the PERFECT GRADE UNLEASHED format kit aims to push the limits of Gunpla models beyond the extreme level of detail already found in PERFECT GRADE kits.
The livestream shared imagery of the underlying frame that will be constructed prior to adding the outer parts and armor pieces when building the model:
The stream also spent some time previewing the Gundam’s iconic Fin Funnels.
These parts have already been confirmed to feature sliding and rotating parts that allow them to be displayed in three different deployment modes and the livestream showed just how this will work.
The prototype model was shown standing on the included custom base, which makes use of a support pillar to allow for secure display of the ν Gundam when equipped with its Fin Funnels.
As previously confirmed, the Gunpla kit will include a range of weapons such as a beam rifle, shield, two beam sabers and a bazooka.
An optional part, the “PG UNLEASHED 1/60 Nu Gundam LED Unit” was also shown.
This part allows the installation of an LED unit, which can be used to illuminate the head camera, twin eyes, chest sensor, chest intake, and cockpit.
The “PG UNLEASHED 1/60 Nu Gundam LED Unit” will be priced at 15,400 yen (approx. $104 USD / £77 GBP).
They also reconfirmed the price and release details for the PERFECT GRADE UNLEASHED 1/60 ν Gundam kit.
It will be priced at ¥66,000 (approx. $453 USD/£341 GBP) and is scheduled for release at general retail stores and hobby specialists across Japan in January 2026.
