New Hatsune Miku puzzle game coming to all major platforms this July

Crypton Future Media has announced a new puzzle game featuring Hatsune Miku.
Hatsune Miku Logic Paint S+ is an expanded and enhanced sequel to the 2021 game, Hatsune Miku Logic Paint S.

The game is a type of picture logic puzzle, also known as a nonogram, where players use number clues on a grid to fill in squares and reveal a hidden image.
This new version features the virtual singers Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO, and KAITO, who are collectively known as the “Piapro Characters”.

The game has been significantly expanded, now including over 1,000 new puzzles, more than double the amount in the original release.

Puzzles come in various sizes, including 10×10, 15×15, and 20×20 grids, with the characters cheering the player on as they solve them.

Completing special puzzles will unlock a gallery of over 30 new illustrations from a wide array of guest artists.
Two major new features have also been added to the game.
A “Room Customization” function allows players to freely redecorate the virtual rooms where the characters reside.

Additionally, a “Costume Change” function lets players dress the characters in different outfits.

The background music for the game was sourced directly from the creative community.
A public contest was held on Crypton’s content-sharing website, “Piapro”, where creators submitted original songs based on a “puzzle” theme.

Thirty winning songs from this contest have been included in the game as BGM, which can be unlocked by collecting stars earned from completing puzzles.
The list of fan-created music includes:
- “Your Own Logic” by Messy style feat. Hatsune Miku
- “SINGER” by Kamimura Kazuki feat. Hatsune Miku
- “The Sound with You” by nobujoe feat. Hatsune Miku
- And 27 other original tracks.
The game’s main visual was once again created by the illustrator NEGI, who also drew the key art for the previous title.

The title is set for a simultaneous worldwide release on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Steam.
The game will be available in a number of languages, including English, Japanese, French, German, Spanish, and many others.
Hatsune Miku Logic Paint S+ is scheduled to be released on Thursday, the 24th of July, with a price of 2,000 yen (approx. $13 USD / £10 GBP).

In response to the popularity of video game streaming, the new release was designed with an aesthetic that is enjoyable for viewers to watch, and Crypton has published official guidelines for video and image posting.
