New Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster capsule toys feature characters from FFV and FFVI

Two new series of capsule toys are being released, based on the “Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster” versions of Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy VI.
The “Pixel Remaster” project is a series of games from Square Enix that re-releases the first six mainline Final Fantasy titles with a unified and beautifully redrawn 2D pixel art style.

This new merchandise translates those updated character sprites into a line of collectible “Mejirushi Charms.”
“Mejirushi Charms” are small accessories that come with both a clasp and a silicone ring, designed to be attached to personal items like umbrella handles or pens for easy identification.

The new products are being released in capsule toy vending machines, also commonly referred to as gashapon.
The first new set is actually the third volume to be released in the series, which focuses on the cast of Final Fantasy V.

This collection features a total of fourteen different charms, including the main characters Bartz, Lenna, Galuf, Faris, and Krile, as well as Bartz’s chocobo companion, Boko.
The second new set is the fourth volume, which is dedicated to the extensive cast of Final Fantasy VI.

This is a larger collection with a total of seventeen different charms, featuring characters like Terra, Locke, Edgar, and Sabin.
This set also includes special charms, such as Terra in her powerful Esper form and a character in the “Imp” or “Kappa” status effect form.
Each of the two new collections will be sold as separate capsule toy machine items.
The new “Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster” capsule toy collections are scheduled to begin their sequential rollout at retailers across Japan from Friday, the 1st of August, 2025, with one attempt for either set costing ¥400.
