My Hero Academia’s Final Battle Inspires New Katsuki Bakugo Statue
Kotobukiya has provided a first look at the painted prototype of an upcoming My Hero Academia collectible featuring Katsuki Bakugo in his Final Season appearance as part of the ARTFX J figure lineup.
The newly revealed statue was showcased through the company’s official social media channels and is being presented for a limited period at the second-floor exhibition area of the Kotobukiya Akihabara store.
The figure takes inspiration from one of the most dramatic moments in the anime’s concluding storyline.
During the final season, Bakugo returns to the battlefield after receiving life-saving treatment from Edgeshot while All Might faces a desperate struggle against All For One.
Following his recovery, Bakugo joins forces with Izuku Midoriya in a race to reach the scene and help alter the future that had seemingly been foretold.
The sculpt portrays Bakugo immediately after his return, capturing him suspended in midair while unleashing the explosive power of his Quirk.
Attention has been paid to recreating the damage sustained by his hero costume during the intense conflict, including torn sections of the outfit and the injury on his chest left from the battle.
A collection of translucent effect parts surrounds the character, representing blazing flames and dense smoke generated by his explosions.
Carefully applied paintwork enhances these effects and creates a vivid sense of movement around the figure.
His self-assured expression further reinforces the confidence and determination he displays during the final stages of the confrontation.
The statue is being produced as part of Kotobukiya’s ARTFX J 1/8-scale figure series, although the company has not yet disclosed its dimensions or additional technical specifications.
Details regarding pricing and release timing have also not yet been announced and are expected to be revealed at a later date.
