MTG FINAL FANTASY cards revealed as Switch 2 Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade pre-order bonus

It has been officially announced that the acclaimed RPG, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and pre-orders for the new versions have now opened.
To celebrate the release, a special, limited-time pre-order bonus has been revealed, which will feature the series’ crossover with the popular trading card game, Magic: The Gathering.

Fans who pre-order the physical, retail edition of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade for the Nintendo Switch 2 will receive a free “Magic: The Gathering – FINAL FANTASY Play Booster.”

Each of these play booster packs contains fifteen randomly assorted cards from the recent Final Fantasy-themed set.
A separate bonus is being offered for those who pre-order the digital versions of the game.
For a limited time, players who pre-order the digital edition on any of the new platforms will also receive a free copy of the original, classic Final Fantasy VII game.

These new versions of the game will also include a new “Streamlined Progression” feature.
This is a new mode that includes a variety of optional settings that can be toggled on or off, such as having your HP, MP, and Limit Break gauges always full, or having every attack deal a maximum of 9,999 damage.

In a statement, the game’s director, Naoki Hamaguchi, explained that this feature was added “to allow the game to cater for individual players’ different lifestyles and play styles,” particularly for those who want to “enjoy the battles and exploration more casually while they really focus on that story.”

It has also been confirmed that the other two games in the trilogy, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and the upcoming third installment, will also be released on the Switch 2 and Xbox platforms in the future.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is scheduled to be released for the new platforms on Thursday, the 22nd of January, 2026.
