Monomi’s voice actor for Super Danganronpa 2×2 revealed as Kinuta Oshiro

The new voice actor for the character Monomi in the upcoming game “Super Danganronpa 2×2” has been officially confirmed.
The role will be played by Kinuta Oshiro, a creator who joined the production company DLE Inc. in 2023 after working independently on YouTube and social media.

While Oshiro has director credits on anime such as “Kaiju Sekai Seifuku,” this role marks his full-scale debut as a voice actor.
“Super Danganronpa 2×2” producer Shohei Sakakibara commented on the casting choice, noting that the staff was unanimously captivated by Oshiro’s performance.

He described Oshiro as having an “excessive Monomi-ness” that made him the clear choice for the role.
This announcement follows the recent reveal that the iconic mascot Monokuma will also have a new voice actor for this title.

Spike Chunsoft confirmed that Wasabi Mizuta will be taking over the role of Monokuma, following the passing of previous voice actors Nobuyo Oyama and TARAKO.

This casting continues a fascinating legacy, as Mizuta also succeeded Oyama as the voice of the beloved anime character Doraemon in 2005.

Producer Sakakibara expressed deep respect for the previous actors while looking forward to the “rich expression and humor” Mizuta will bring to the character.

“Super Danganronpa 2×2” is the latest entry in the high-speed deduction action series, featuring a completely new scenario based on the second game, “Super Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair Academy.”

While the setting and cast remain the same, the story will feature different victims, culprits, and tricks, offering a narrative volume equal to the original game.

The game’s PlayStation Store page opened today, November 28, allowing players to add the title to their wishlist.

To celebrate, sales on the Danganronpa series have begun on the Nintendo Switch eShop today, and a Steam sale will start tomorrow, offering the first game for 94% off.

“Super Danganronpa 2×2” is scheduled to be released in 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
