Sakura Mochi Donuts return to Mister Donut for spring 2025

Mister Donut will be offering four varieties of “Sakura Mochi Donuts” for a limited time, starting from Wednesday, March 5th 2025.
The “Sakura Mochi Donut” line was designed with traditional “sakura mochi” in mind and has become an annual springtime favorite at Mister Donut.
Each donut features a distinctive chewy dough infused with cherry blossom flavor, and for the first time this year, they will also incorporate strawberry ingredients.
This year, the chewy dough has been further refined to achieve a softer texture, and a dough that authentically replicates the flavor of “sakura mochi” has been developed.

In addition to the standard toppings that utilize Japanese ingredients, this year’s collection also includes items featuring strawberries, adding another classic seasonal spring flavor.
The two new additions that showcase the combination of cherry blossom and strawberry flavors are the “Sakura Mochitto Donut Strawberry Daifuku Style” which uses strawberry puree and sugar to emulate the appearance of strawberry daifuku, and the “Sakura Mochitto Donut Strawberry Custard”, which features a sandwich of strawberry bean paste and custard cream.
The two items that incorporate Japanese ingredients, which have been popular in previous years, are the “Sakura Mochitto Donut Kurosu Kinako” which is sprinkled with fragrant Kurosu kinako, allowing customers to appreciate the complementary flavors of the dough and the kinako, and the “Sakura Mochitto Donut Salted Azuki” which features a sandwich of salted azuki bean paste and is topped with cherry blossom flavored chocolate flakes.
Let’s take a closer look at each donut in the new Mister Donuts “Sakura Mochi Donut” line for 2025!
