Main voice cast revealed for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run as new trailer released
The main voice cast for the highly anticipated anime adaptation of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 7: Steel Ball Run has been officially revealed.
The announcement was made on Tuesday, the 23rd of September, by Warner Bros. Japan during a special livestream.
Steel Ball Run is a fan-favorite and critically acclaimed part of the long-running JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure saga by Hirohiko Araki.
The story is a reinvention of the franchise, set in an alternate universe in the year 1890, and it follows the story of a former jockey named Johnny Joestar and a mysterious man named Gyro Zeppeli as they compete in a bizarre, cross-country horse race across America.
The new anime adaptation is scheduled to be streamed worldwide on Netflix in 2026.
To accompany the cast announcement, the first teaser promotional video for the series has also been unveiled.
The trailer features dialogue from the main characters, showcasing the voices of the newly announced cast.
The full main cast for the Steel Ball Run anime is as follows:
- Johnny Joestar: Shogo Sakata
- Gyro Zeppeli: Yohei Azakami
- Diego Brando: Kaito Ishikawa
- Lucy Steel: Rie Takahashi
- Steven Steel: Kenta Miyake
Kenta Miyake, who voices the race promoter Steven Steel, also provided the opening narration for the announcement event, having previously voiced Mohammed Avdol in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders.
This new reveal provides fans with their first opportunity to hear the voices of the characters in the long-awaited adaptation.
The anime adaptation will be produced by the acclaimed studio David Production, which has handled all of the previous seasons of the anime.
Many of the key creative staff from the previous seasons will be returning for this new project.
