Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is joining Guilty Gear -Strive-

Arc System Works has announced an unexpected collaboration, revealing that Lucy from the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will be added to the fighting game Guilty Gear -Strive-.
Lucy is one of the main characters from the critically acclaimed anime produced by Studio Trigger, which is set in the universe of the Cyberpunk video games.

This crossover marks a rare occasion where a character from an entirely different style of media franchise is added to the roster of the popular fighting game.
Her battle style in Guilty Gear -Strive- will combine martial arts with her signature monowire, a luminous, whip-like cord, to execute powerful combos.

She will also possess unique hacking skills, which can be used to apply various debuffs to her opponents during a match.
Lucy will be made available as a purchasable, downloadable character and is also included as part of the game’s “Season Pass 4” DLC bundle.

On the same day as her release, a free game update will be deployed that adds a “Ranked Match” mode and includes a number of battle balance adjustments.

In addition to the new character reveal, a major new update for the game, titled “Version 2.00,” was also teased.

This update is scheduled for release sometime in 2026 and a teaser image was released that includes rough sketches of two more, as-yet-unidentified additional characters.
Lucy is scheduled to join Guilty Gear -Strive- on Thursday, the 21st of August, 2025, and will be priced at ¥880 as a standalone purchase.
