Limited edition Evangelion earphones feature new voice lines from 9 different characters

A new collaboration has been announced between the audio brand AVIOT and the Evangelion franchise to celebrate the iconic series’ 30th anniversary.
The new product is a “TE-V1R-EVA,” a special-edition version of AVIOT’s “TE-V1R” true wireless earphones.

This is a premium, high-end collaboration packed with exclusive features for fans.
The earphones feature a white and silver color scheme.
The buds themselves are decorated with the Spear of Longinus and the Spear of Cassius, while the charging case features a motif of Evangelion Unit-01.

The package features a brand-new, original illustration of Rei Ayanami and Asuka Langley Shikinami wearing the new earphones.

A key feature of the earphones is the inclusion of over 160 all-new, originally recorded voice lines.
This includes both “Voice Guidance” (for power on/off) and “Random Voices” (featuring iconic lines from the series).

A total of nine classic characters have their voices included:
- Shinji Ikari
- Rei Ayanami
- Asuka Langley Shikinami
- Mari Illustrious Makinami
- Misato Katsuragi
- Ritsuko Akagi
- Kaworu Nagisa
- Gendo Ikari
- Ryoji Kaji
Users will be able to freely switch between these nine different character voice modes using a dedicated smartphone app.

Another major feature is the special sound tuning, which was personally supervised by the legendary singer Yoko Takahashi, who is famous for performing the series’ theme songs, “A Cruel Angel’s Thesis” and “Soul’s Refrain.”

In a comment, Ms. Takahashi stated that she tuned the sound to her personal preference.
She mentioned that for “A Cruel Angel’s Thesis,” she focused on making the vocals sound “clear and transparent” and “brighter and younger,” to match the 14-year-old pilots.

For “Soul’s Refrain,” she focused on a “three-dimensional” sound with “deeper bass” to express the song’s solemnity, while still keeping the vocals clear.
The base model is AVIOT’s high-grade “TE-V1R,” which features 19 hours of playback on a single charge (62 hours with the case) and adaptive hybrid noise-canceling.

The “TE-V1R-EVA” is priced at ¥22,880 (approx. $155 USD / £123 GBP).
Pre-orders for the new collaboration earphones began on Wednesday, the 29th of October, via the AVIOT ONLINE MALL.
The earphones are scheduled to begin shipping in late January 2026.
