Konosuba Season 4 Confirmed for 2027 as 10th Anniversary Celebrations Continue

Konosuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Season 4 has officially been confirmed for a 2027 broadcast, with a brand-new ultra teaser visual offering the first glimpse at the next chapter of Kazuma’s adventure.

Based on the light novel series by Natsume Akatsuki, Konosuba has become one of the most popular isekai comedies of the past decade, following gaming enthusiast Kazuma Satou after he is reincarnated into a fantasy world alongside the hopelessly troublesome goddess Aqua, where they are joined by explosion-obsessed mage Megumin and the endlessly eccentric crusader Darkness.

The newly released teaser artwork features the four party members from behind beneath the tagline “Let’s head out on a new adventure,” hinting at another journey for the unlikely group after the events of Season 3.

The production team for the new season has also been confirmed, with Takaomi Kanasaki serving as chief director, Manabu Kurihara directing, Makoto Uezu returning for series composition, Koichi Kikuta handling character designs and animation once again being produced by ENGI.

Season 4 was officially unveiled during the anime’s 10th anniversary event, where a commemorative promotional video also debuted, looking back at the series from the first television season in 2016 through every anime project released since then.

The anniversary video is accompanied by “fantastic dreamer -10th Anniversary Arrange ver.-,” a newly rearranged version of Machico’s iconic opening theme from the first season, with the song now available on music streaming services.

Fans also got their first look at the key visual for the upcoming Konosuba Exhibition: Cheerful, a special event celebrating the anime’s 10th anniversary that will showcase artwork and memorable moments from across the series.

Konosuba first aired in 2016 before returning for a second season in 2017, followed by the Crimson Legend movie in 2019, the Megumin-focused prequel series An Explosion on This Wonderful World! in 2023 and the long-awaited third season in 2024, cementing its place as one of the defining comedy anime franchises of the modern era.

Konosuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Season 4 is scheduled to air in 2027, while advance lottery applications for the Konosuba Exhibition: Cheerful are currently available through eplus until August 9, with additional details about the new season expected to be announced in the coming months.
