Kinetic Games Launches New Indie Game Publisher

Kinetic Publishing

Kinetic Games, the successful developer behind the supernatural horror game “Phasmaphobia”, has officially announced the establishment of a new publishing label named Kinetic Publishing.

The core mission of the new label is to champion innovation within the independent game development space.

Kinetic Publishing plans to focus on a small number of titles, aiming to provide “meaningful attention” and “tailored support” to each team.

The publisher is actively seeking developers with games across a wide range of genres that have a “clear vision for their title” and are estimated to be “12 to 18 months from release.”

The assistance provided will be comprehensive, including financial, legal, and marketing support, as well as wider development guidance.

This strategic direction is directly informed by the experiences of Kinetic Games CEO and “Phasmaphobia” game director, Daniel Knight.

As a formerly solo developer, he launched “Phasmaphobia” into Early Access in 2020, and the new publishing label is designed to provide the kind of support he would have valued during his initial journey.

Upon announcing the new publishing arm, Daniel Knight stated:

“It’s such an exciting time for indie game development, I can say that in the past five years I’ve learned so much.

The fact we’ve grown so much as a company means we’re now in the place where we want to support studios who come under our wing, and provide the support I’d have appreciated at the start of my journey.”

Adding to the company’s commitment, Asim Tanvir, Kinetic Publishing director of marketing and partnerships, stated:

“We want to join the ranks of supportive indie publishers who champion and encourage creativity.

We hope the guidance and support that we provide to indie teams will help in ensuring they succeed in what they do best, as well as encouraging innovation within the development space.”

Interested development teams are encouraged to visit the publisher’s official website for application details.
