Jujutsu Kaisen takes over Osaka this summer for new tourism collab

Events based on popular anime series “Jujutsu Kaisen” will appear around Osaka this summer as part of a new tourism campaign.

Following the success of their previous collaboration, the hit anime series is teaming up once again with JR Central’s “Oshi Tabi” (Favorite Trip) campaign for a second exciting event: “Juju Tanbo in Osaka” (Juju Exploration in Osaka).

This new initiative will begin on Friday, May 23rd, and celebrates the upcoming theatrical release of the compilation film of the series’ ‘Hidden Inventory / Premature Death’ arc.

“Juju Tanbo in Osaka” promises a plethora of special activities commemorating the movie’s release, including an exclusive Shinkansen experience, a digital stamp rally across Osaka city, and unique Jujutsu Kaisen themed food.

Exclusive Shinkansen Quiz

Jujutsu Kaisen “Juju Tanbo Certification Exam”

Test your knowledge of the “Hidden Inventory / Premature Death” arc with an exclusive quiz only available whilst riding Tokaido Shinkansen trains.

Achieving a perfect score on the 10-question exam will reward you with one of three original wallpapers.

Answer all questions correctly to receive one of three exclusive mobile wallpapers (provided at random)

Plus, based on your score, you’ll have a chance to hear newly recorded voice clips from Gojo, Geto, and Ieiri!

You can visit the official website via the link at the end of the article to register to participate (registration will only be possible once the campaign starts on the 23rd May 2025).

The quiz will only become active when you are registered as travelling at a certain speed on the Tokaido Shinkansen route, which will be determined using location data from your device.

Original Acrylic Keychain Gift

Participants who take part in the in-Shinkansen quiz can receive a free limited-edition acrylic keychain featuring original artwork of Gojo, Geto, and Ieiri enjoying their trip to Osaka, exclusively at the Kiddyland Osaka Umeda store.

You’ll be provided with a “Shinkansen Ride Certificate” once you complete the quiz, which can be shown to staff at the store to receive your keychain.

Two different keychain designs will be available, with the design changing halfway through the campaign (May 23rd – June 20th for the first design, June 21st – July 20th for the second).

The first design will feature Gojo, Geto and Ieiri at Osaka’s iconic Ebisu Bridge near Dotonbori, whilst the second will show the trio at Shinsekai’s Tsutenkaku Tower.

Digital Stamp Rally with Original Voices

Explore Osaka city alongside your favorite “Jujutsu Kaisen” characters!

At various stamp rally spots, you can enjoy sightseeing while listening to original voice recordings from Gojo, Geto, and Ieiri.

Completing the digital stamp rally will earn you an exclusive mini-character illustration card at the Kiddyland Osaka Umeda store.

Participation in the digital stamp rally is free, but some facilities may require separate admission fees.

Takoyaki Doraku Wanaka (Namba & Kuromon Market Stores)

Indulge in the “Juju Tanbo Original Oroshi Sauce Takoyaki,” a limited-edition flavor of Osaka’s famous octopus balls created specifically for this collaboration.

Hokkyoku Main Store

Be among the first to taste the “Juju Tanbo Original Ice Candy” in Ramune and Mango flavors.

These unique flavors are inspired by the “Hidden Inventory / Premature Death” arc.

Purchasers of the original menu items at each respective store will receive one of two mini-character illustration cards as a bonus.

Original mini-character illustrations cards will be gifted to customers who purchase special collaboration menu items from select stores in Osaka

Photo Spot Installation

To commemorate the release of the ‘Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death Compilation’ film, a special limited-time exhibition will be held at the “Fountain Plaza” in the Whity Umeda underground shopping mall in Osaka.

This exhibition will partially recreate popular scenes featuring Gojo and Geto that were previously displayed at AnimeJapan 2025.

Additionally, life-sized panels of Gojo, Geto, and Ieiri will be placed throughout Whity Umeda during the campaign period – fans are encouraged to explore to shopping center and find them all!

The exhibition will run from May 23rd to June 30th, 2025.

Original Merchandise Sales

The Kiddyland Osaka Umeda store will feature a wide selection of original merchandise featuring the collaboration’s exclusive artwork.

Limited-edition items available only in Osaka include trading train ticket-style cards (9 designs), illustration card sets, travel notebooks, and acrylic dioramas (2 types).
