Japan-Korea Exchange Festival

The Japan-Korea Exchange Festival is the largest annual event in Japan dedicated to celebrating the friendship and cultural exchange between Japan and South Korea.
This fun festival was started in 2005 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Since 2009, it has been held in both Tokyo and Seoul, created together by both nations.

The event is positioned as a place for cultural, citizen, and youth exchange between the two irreplaceable neighboring countries.

The 2025 festival is particularly significant as it marks the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations.

Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of attractions, including numerous food stalls offering authentic Korean cuisine like kimchi, tteokbokki, and Korean barbecue.

The main stage features a dynamic program of live performances.

This includes modern K-Pop dance covers, traditional Korean music and dance like samul nori, and powerful taekwondo demonstrations.

The festival aims to foster grassroots-level exchanges and lay the foundation for better Japan-Korea relations.
