Bloober Team Begins Countdown to Mystery New Horror Game Reveal
Bloober Team, the Polish development studio specializing in psychological horror and fresh off the massive success of the “Silent Hill 2” remake, has ignited fan speculation by launching a cryptic countdown website for an unannounced project.
The teaser, which links to a deliberately scrambled URL, is accompanied by the ominous message, “Dare to peek into the darkness…”
The dedicated teaser website, located at the nonsensical address RemosdNeulSerorehsoOvamCeyerd.com, is currently hosting a timer that is set to expire on February 15.
The studio offered no official context or explanation for the teaser, leaving the nature of the announcement intentionally unclear and designed primarily to provoke curiosity among fans of their previous work, which includes titles like “Layers of Fear” and “The Medium”.
Fan efforts to decipher the jumbled URL have led to various theories, including a potential anagram of the phrase “Remove your old dreams, chosen seer.”
This mysterious project follows a period of major commercial surge for the studio, with “Silent Hill 2” shipping over 2.5 million copies.
Speculation is mounting over whether the countdown relates to a new intellectual property or one of the studio’s already-known, unreleased titles.
One strong possibility is the recently trademarked name “Onyx The Dark Grip”, which was filed with the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
Another possibility is ‘Project M,’ a Nintendo exclusive horror game that the studio’s CEO has previously stated is a concept uniquely suited to Nintendo hardware.
Bloober Team currently has seven projects in development, including a remake of the original “Silent Hill”, and the horror community eagerly awaits the mid-February reveal to see what new nightmare the Kraków-based studio has planned.
