hololive’s Inugami Korone gets her own baseball-themed indie game
CCMC has released new details for its upcoming Windows 2D action game, “Korone’s Home WAN! Derby,” which is set for distribution on Steam.
“Korone’s Home WAN! Derby” stars Inugami Korone, a virtual YouTuber affiliated with hololive GAMERS.
hololive production is a Japanese virtual YouTuber agency that manages a roster of virtual talent, known for their live streams, music, and various online content.
Their VTuber talent often appear on a wide range of merchandise and products, including a hololive GAMERS themed energy drink released earlier this year that featured an Inugami Korone can design.
Developed by To You Games, this title will be released under “holo Indie,” hololive production’s secondary creation game brand, which supports fan-made games.
The game is described as a batting action game offering simple controls for an engaging experience.
Players will control Inugami Korone, aiming to hit various “magic pitches” thrown by other Hololive members and mascots, turning them into home runs with powerful swings.
Despite its charming appearance, the game is said to present a challenging batting experience that requires concentration, persistence, and “bread” to succeed.
Each stage in “Korone’s Home WAN! Derby” has a specific home run target, and any hit that isn’t a home run is considered an out.
Failure to meet the home run goal results in an immediate game over, offering a nostalgic yet challenging gameplay style.
Achieving home runs earns players “bread,” which can be used to enhance Inugami Korone’s abilities, including power, contact, and speed.
The game also includes an “RTA Mode” where players can compete for the fastest clear times across all stages.
This mode combines accessibility for all players with character progression elements.
The game is scheduled for release on Steam on July 11th.
