Hit anime Gachiakuta to help keep the streets of Shibuya clean this Halloween

A new collaboration has been announced between the TV anime Gachiakuta and the “Shibuya Zero Waste Project 2025.”
The new partnership, which is built around the tagline “Cleaners, Assemble,” aims to support the volunteer cleanup of the Shibuya district during the busy Halloween period.

The collaboration is a perfect thematic fit for the series. Gachiakuta is a story that begins with the protagonist, Rudo, living his life by scavenging through trash in the heavens.

After being framed for a crime he didn’t commit, he is cast down into the Abyss, a harsh world that is made of the trash that has been discarded from the world above.
This new partnership brings the world of the anime to a real-life cleanup initiative.

As part of the collaboration, a limited-quantity, original, anime-themed trash bag will be distributed to volunteers during cleanup sessions taking place around Halloween.

The “Shibuya Zero Waste Project 2025” is an initiative that supports the voluntary cleanup of the Shibuya area by providing volunteers with cleaning tools such as trash bags, gloves, and tongs to help collect trash that is left on the street.

This announcement was made alongside the release of the official synopsis and preview images for the 15th episode of the anime’s second season, titled “Hey, Seriously.”

The synopsis reveals that after being ambushed, the “Cleaners” are separated and must face off against the boss of the “Vandals,” Zodil, and his subordinates.

The “TV Anime Gachiakuta x Shibuya Zero Waste Project 2025” collaboration is being held to help keep the streets of Shibuya clean during the Halloween season.
