Hatsune Miku gets a new high performance streaming headset

Japanese audio equipment manufacturer Audio-Technica has announced its second collaboration product with the virtual singer Hatsune Miku.
The new item is a limited-edition, Miku-themed version of its “ATH-M50xSTS-USB” streaming headset.

This new release is a follow-up to the “AT2020USB-X MIKU” condenser microphone from 2023, which sold out immediately after its launch.

The base model for this new collaboration, the ATH-M50xSTS-USB, is a high-performance headset designed for streamers and content creators.

It combines the high-resolution monitoring capabilities of the company’s famous ATH-M50x headphones with the clarity of a studio-quality condenser microphone from its AT20 series.

The headset features large, 45mm drivers, a flexible boom arm for the microphone that can be flipped up to mute, and a side-tone function that allows users to hear their own voice for a more natural-sounding conversation.

This new, limited-edition version features an original design with a number of accents inspired by Hatsune Miku.

A key feature of the collaboration is a brand-new main visual, which was created by the popular illustrator, LAM.

The new artwork, which depicts a cool and stylish version of Miku, is featured on the product’s packaging.

As a special bonus, all customers who purchase the collaboration model will receive a free postcard featuring the new LAM illustration.

The “ATH-M50xSTS-USB MIKU” is a limited-quantity item, priced at ¥39,000 (approx. $266 USD/£196 GBP).

The new headset is scheduled to be released on Friday, the 22nd of August, at 10:00 AM Japan Standard Time, and will be sold exclusively through the official Audio-Technica online store.
