Hatsune Miku fans in Japan will get paid for advertising her on their cars

Japanese advertiser ‘CheerDrive’ has launched a new campaign that will reward Hatsune Miku fans who are willing to turn their car into a mobile advert for the virtual singer.
The company operates a unique car advertising service that connects drivers with brands and content that they support.
Their latest advertising campaign has been revealed and will allow fans of Hatsune Miku to participate in paid promotion for their favorite Vocaloid.
CheerDrive’s service model allows normal drivers to earn sponsorship revenue based on the distance they travel while showcasing stickers of their favorite brands or content on their cars.

The “Racing Miku 2025 Ver. Smile Road Campaign presented by TOYOTA Wallet” campaign launched on May 15th, and CheerDrive is now accepting applications from drivers across Japan to participate in this initiative.
Drivers will earn rewards for displaying promotional stickers featuring the Racing Miku 2025 Ver. variant of Hatsune Miku on their vehicles.

This new campaign is a collaboration with the “Hatsune Miku GT Project”, a motorsport endeavor centered around the concept of “a racing team that runs with fans”.
Led by Good Smile Racing, and recently sponsored by Japanese arcade giant GiGO, the Hatsune Miku GT Project has been competing in the GT300 class of Japan’s premier automobile racing series, SUPER GT, since 2008.
The current season marks the project’s 17th year of participation under the team name ‘GOODSMILERACING & TeamUKYO’.
For this specific campaign, CheerDrive is seeking 100 drivers, selected through a nationwide lottery, to affix stickers promoting the “Racing Miku 2025 Ver. Smile Road Campaign presented by TOYOTA Wallet” to the rear windows of their cars.

Participants will then earn driving points valued between 3.3 to 5.5 yen per kilometer driven, up to a maximum of 5,500 points (equivalent to 5,500 yen).
These points are automatically converted into a balance within the driver’s ‘TOYOTA Wallet’, a smartphone digital wallet app provided by Toyota Financial Services.
The application process for the campaign requires users to link their TOYOTA Wallet account to the CheerDrive app.
Successful participants will be notified via the CheerDrive app within a few days after the application deadline of June 4th.

If selected, drivers will receive a see-through “Racing Miku” film sticker to place on their car’s rear window and they can then begin earning ‘driving points’ between Wednesday, June 18th and Thursday, July 17th, 2025.
The “Racing Miku” character is a racing-themed version of Hatsune Miku, a globally recognized virtual singer developed by Crypton Future Media, Inc.
Since 2010, Racing Miku has served as the official mascot for the Hatsune Miku GT Project, with her design being reimagined annually by different creators.

The 2025 version of Racing Miku, featured in this campaign, was designed by Kei Mochizuki with direction by Shigeto Koyama.
This campaign offers a unique opportunity for fans of Hatsune Miku and the Hatsune Miku GT Project to support their passion while earning rewards through their daily commutes.
Application information can be found on CheerDrive’s website.
