Haruhi Suzumiya’s KonoSuba Crossover Unveils New Megumin Cosplay Figure
KADOKAWA has unveiled the first painted prototype of an upcoming KDcolle figure celebrating a unique crossover between The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!.
The new figure is based on a special illustration originally created for the KonoSuba anime’s 10th anniversary collaboration with the Sneaker Bunko light novel label.
Both The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and KonoSuba are among the most influential titles published under KADOKAWA’s Sneaker Bunko imprint, with the crossover campaign bringing together characters from the publisher’s best-known franchises to celebrate KonoSuba’s 10th anime anniversary.
The promotional event, titled Kono Fuyu ni Shukufuku o! (“Blessings on This Wonderful Winter!”), launched in February 2026 and featured a series of brand-new crossover illustrations drawn by renowned artist Noizi Ito, the original illustrator behind the Haruhi Suzumiya light novels.
Rather than appearing in her familiar school uniform, Haruhi has been reimagined wearing Megumin’s instantly recognizable Crimson Demon outfit from KonoSuba, creating one of the campaign’s most eye-catching crossover visuals.
The newly revealed KDcolle figure recreates that exclusive illustration, capturing Haruhi in a lively pose that conveys the energetic personality fans have associated with the character for nearly two decades.
Her flowing costume, dynamic movement, and expressive sculpt closely mirror Noizi Ito’s original artwork, while the vibrant paint application enhances the colorful fantasy-inspired costume.
The figure also carefully recreates numerous details from Megumin’s iconic attire, allowing Haruhi’s distinctive appearance to blend naturally with the famous mage’s outfit while still preserving her own unmistakable identity.
The painted prototype represents the first detailed look at the upcoming release, offering collectors an early preview of the sculpt and final color design before reservations officially begin.
KADOKAWA has confirmed that pre-orders for the KDcolle Haruhi Suzumiya crossover figure will open soon via reputable hobby goods retailers such as HobbyLink Japan, with additional details, including pricing, scale, and release timing, to be announced shortly before pre-orders open.
