Gundam Card Game Wings of Advance [ST02] starter deck – what’s in the box?

The new “Gundam Card Game” will soon launch worldwide with four Starter Decks available on launch day.

One of the first Starter Decks available will be the “Wings of Advance [ST02]” deck.

This pre-constructed deck is the perfect entry point for fans of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, offering a strategic and resource-heavy play style centered around the conflict between the Gundam pilots and the OZ forces.

A Deck of Ramping Power: Green and Blue

“Wings of Advance [ST02]” is built around a “Green” and “Blue” card color combination, a pairing that focuses on “ramping” and resource acceleration.

This play style allows players to quickly generate and accumulate resources, enabling them to deploy powerful, high-cost Mobile Suits and activate game-changing abilities earlier than their opponents.

The deck features legendary Mobile Suits and pilots, including Heero Yuy and his Wing Gundam, alongside the formidable Zechs Merquise and his Tallgeese.

What’s in the box?

The Starter Deck “Wings of Advance [ST02]” is a complete package, providing everything a new player needs to get started.

Each deck contains:

• A ready-to-play, 50-card pre-constructed deck.
• 10 Resource Cards to fuel your plays.
• 8 Token Cards for various in-game effects, including three Unit Tokens.
• A paper damage counter.
• A rule and playsheet to help you learn the game.
• A bonus pack containing one of 16 possible cards from the deck in a special full-art holographic treatment.

GUNDAM ASSEMBLE Special Edition Deck

For collectors and Gunpla enthusiasts, a special edition of the Starter Deck is also available, titled “GUNDAM ASSEMBLE Starter Set Wings of Advance [ST02A]”.

This version includes three unassembled “GUNDAM ASSEMBLE” miniature Gunpla kits: the TP-004 Tallgeese, TP-005 Leo (Rifle), and TP-006 Leo (Beam Cannon).

These detailed miniatures can be used as tokens in the card game, and they can also be used in the upcoming GUNDAM ASSEMBLE tabletop miniatures game.

“Wings of Advance [ST02]” is one of four starter decks launching on July 11th, 2025. The other decks are:

• Heroic Beginnings [ST01]: A balanced Blue and White deck featuring heroes from Mobile Suit Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury.
• Zeon’s Rush [ST03]: An aggressive Red and Green deck with Zeon and Neo-Zeon units.
• SEED Strike [ST04]: A defensive White and Red deck focused on Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and “linked units”.

Following the starter decks, the first booster pack, “Newtype Rising [GD01]”, will be released on July 25th, 2025, to expand the card pool and offer more options for strengthening your decks.

The “Gundam Card Game” has also released its schedule for the next six months’ worth of new releases.
