Graniph Launches Huge New Evangelion Apparel Collection
Japanese apparel brand Graniph has announced a new collaboration with the landmark anime franchise Neon Genesis Evangelion.
This extensive collection features 21 new items ranging from casual clothing to detailed accessories, all designed to capture the psychological intensity and mechanical intricacy of Hideaki Anno’s mecha series.
The designs draw heavily from iconic moments in both the TV series and the theatrical films.
Highlights of the apparel line include the “Angel Attack” loose shirt, which prominently features the mask of Sachiel, the third Angel that attacks Tokyo-3 in the first episode.
Another standout is the “Go Back!” T-shirt, which captures the tense confrontation between the protagonist Shinji Ikari and his father Gendo, depicting the moment Shinji first refuses to pilot Unit-01.
For those who prefer patterns, a reversible blouson and boxer pants set titled “The End of the World” incorporates designs representing all 17 Angels.
The collection also pays tribute to the controversial 1997 film The End of Evangelion.
A new shoulder bag features a design based on the brutal battle between Asuka Langley Soryu’s Unit-02 and the Mass Production Evangelions.
In a nod to the film’s tragic climax, the bag’s inner pocket features a print of the Evangelion’s internal battery timer reaching zero.
Another backpack features an embroidered recreation of Unit-01 being grabbed by Sachiel, preserving the raw style of the original animation.
In addition to the new items, Graniph is conducting a resale of popular items from previous collaborations, though stock levels are fluctuating.
The special “Angel” themed wallet and key case set listed in the catalog has already sold out during the reservation window.
