Gundam Card Game SEED Strike [ST04] starter deck – what’s in the box?

The new “Gundam Card Game” will launch worldwide this July with the arrival of four Starter Decks.

Players who favor strategic defense and powerful synergies can look forward to the Starter Deck “SEED Strike [ST04]”.

This pre-constructed deck brings the intense battles of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED to life, featuring the dynamic partnership between Kira Yamato and Athrun Zala and introducing a flexible play style centered around “Linked Units”.

Unbreakable Bonds: White and Red

“SEED Strike [ST04]” utilizes a “White” and “Red” card color combination to create a defensive strategy that relies on the synergy between different cards in the deck.

The deck’s core mechanic revolves around “Linked Units”, a feature that allows specific Pilot and Mobile Suit cards to work together for powerful effects.

This mechanic is perfectly showcased by the iconic pairing of Kira Yamato and his Aile Strike Gundam, as well as Athrun Zala and his Aegis Gundam, allowing players to build a formidable frontline and execute devastating combos.

The Starter Deck “SEED Strike [ST04]” is a complete package, providing everything a new player needs to jump into the action.

Each deck contains:

• A ready-to-play, 50-card pre-constructed deck.
• 10 Resource Cards to fuel your plays.
• 8 Token Cards for various in-game effects, including three Unit Tokens.
• A paper damage counter.
• A rule and playsheet to help you learn the game.
• A bonus pack containing one of 16 possible cards from the deck in a special full-art holographic treatment.

GUNDAM ASSEMBLE Special Edition Deck

For collectors and Gunpla enthusiasts, there’s also a special edition of the Starter Deck, titled “GUNDAM ASSEMBLE Starter Set SEED Strike [ST04A]”.

This version includes three unassembled “GUNDAM ASSEMBLE” Gunpla miniatures: the TP-009 Launch Strike Gundam, TP-010 Sword Strike Gundam, and the Skygrasper.

These detailed miniatures can be placed on token cards in the card game, and they can also be used in the upcoming GUNDAM ASSEMBLE tabletop miniatures game.

“SEED Strike [ST04]” is one of four starter decks launching on July 11th, 2025.

The other decks available on the same date are:

• Heroic Beginnings [ST01]: A balanced Blue and White deck featuring heroes from Mobile Suit Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury.
• Wings of Advance [ST02]: A ramping Green and Blue deck based on Mobile Suit Gundam Wing.
• Zeon’s Rush [ST03]: An aggressive Red and Green deck with Zeon and Neo-Zeon units.

Following the starter decks, the first booster pack, “Newtype Rising [GD01]”, will be released on July 25th, 2025, to expand the card pool and offer more options for strengthening your decks.

The “Gundam Card Game” has also released their schedule for the next six months’ worth of new releases.
