GACHIAKUTA survival RPG game announced for consoles and PC

Game publisher Com2uS has officially announced the development of GACHIAKUTA: The Game, a new “survival action RPG” based on the popular manga and anime franchise.
The title is currently in production for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam, though a specific release window has not yet been provided.

The announcement was accompanied by a trailer showcasing in-development graphics, promising fans the opportunity to “crawl back from the abyss of Hell to change this lousy world.”
The adaptation aims to translate the series’ gritty aesthetic and high-octane battles into an interactive format, leveraging the unique graffiti designs created by Hideyoshi Ando for the source material.

This video game expansion arrives amidst a wave of significant momentum for the franchise.
The production staff for the Gachiakuta television anime have confirmed that a second season has been greenlit, following the conclusion of the first season.

The anime adaptation, produced by Studio BONES, recently concluded its first season, which followed the protagonist Rudo, voiced by Aoi Ichikawa, after he is falsely accused of murder and cast into a trash-filled abyss.
There, he joins a group known as the Cleaners to battle “trash beasts” using special powers, a premise that lends itself naturally to the survival action genre of the upcoming game.

Original creator Kei Urana launched the manga in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in February 2022.

With the manga continuing its serialization, a second anime season in production, and now a multi-platform console game on the horizon, the series is rapidly expanding its footprint in the media landscape.
More updates on the game’s development are expected to be revealed in the near future, however a trailer is now available:
