Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2 reveals two new character visuals

A new set of official character visuals has been released for the upcoming second season of the critically acclaimed anime series, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, based on the award-winning manga by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe, is a fantasy series set in the world “after” the Demon King has been defeated.

The story follows the long life of the elven mage Frieren, a member of the original hero’s party, as she embarks on a new journey to better understand the short-lived humans she once traveled with.

The first season of the anime, produced by the acclaimed studio Madhouse, was a massive critical and commercial success, praised for its high-quality animation and its poignant, emotional storytelling.

The new season will pick up where the first left off, adapting the story from the 61st chapter of the original manga.
Two newly released pieces of artwork showcase the two main groups from the story.
One visual features Frieren’s new party, which is made up of herself, her apprentice Fern, and the warrior Stark.

A second visual depicts the original “Hero’s Party,” which includes the hero Himmel, the priest Heiter, the warrior Eisen, and a younger Frieren.

The art has been released to build anticipation for the new season, which has also been officially confirmed as being scheduled to begin its broadcast on the Nippon TV network in January 2026.

The new visuals are also scheduled to be used for upcoming merchandise that will coincide with the series release.
