Limited edition Koala’s March celebrates My Melody’s 50th anniversary

Lotte’s popular Koala’s March snack is set to collaborate with My Melody to celebrate half a century of the Sanrio character.
The “My Melody x Koala’s March” collaboration will be part of Lotte’s “Original Koala’s March” series and will be available exclusively through the Lotte Online Shop from noon (Japan time) on Friday, March 21st 2025.
The collaboration brings together two longstanding Japan brands.
Koala’s March, a biscuit snack with a chocolate filling, has been a staple of the Japanese confectionery market since its introduction in 1984.
My Melody, created by Sanrio in 1975, is a globally recognized character with a significant following, particularly among young consumers.

My Melody’s 50th anniversary has seen a number of collaborations already this year including Samantha Thavasa and Snow Miku.

The new “My Melody x Koala’s March” collaboration consists of a bundle box containing ten individual boxes of Koala’s March, each featuring a unique package design incorporating My Melody imagery.

Each individual box contains two “Koala’s March Mini Packs,” which are smaller, individually wrapped portion-controlled bags.
The packaging also includes original designs that combine My Melody with March-kun, the Koala’s March mascot.


In addition to the ten boxes of Koala’s March, each purchase includes an exclusive original clear file, a transparent plastic folder commonly used for document organization in Japan.


Boxes of “My Melody x Koala’s March” will be available to order from the Lotte Online Shop between noon, March 21st and 11:59 pm March 30th 2025 (Japan time).
Each box will cost 3,980 yen (approx. $26.76 USD / £20.64 GBP) including tax and shipping to a Japanese address.
Stock is limited quantity and sales may stop early if the available quantity sells out.
