Chiikawa Ramen restaurant comes to Osaka for a limited time

Fans of the popular manga series Chiikawa will be thrilled to hear that a new Chiikawa themed ramen restaurant is coming to Osaka.

Set to open in the “Neon Shokudogai” area on the B2F of PARCO in Shinsaibashi, the “Chiikawa Ramen Buta” restaurant will open for a limited time from the 15th of November.

Three sizes of ramen will be served – a mini size, themed on Chiikawa, a small size, themed on Hachiware and a large size, themed on Usagi.

Each bowl of ramen will feature a fish cake shaped like the character designated to each size.

The ramen will be priced at 1,980 yen for the large size, 1,760 yen for the small size and 1,540 yen for the mini size.

Each ramen purchase will come with a free bonus sticker, with the sticker provided corresponding to the character for the size you order.

As well as ramen, a selection of themed drinks are available to order, including black oolong tea, mandarin juice, cola, white soda and draft beer, all of which would pair well with ramen.

Each drink order will see customers receive a free clear card featuring Chiikawa characters, with one selected at random from 8 types:

By ordering ramen at the “Chiikawa Ramen Buta” restaurant, you’ll also get the chance to purchase exclusive merchandise that can’t be found elsewhere.

The merchandise is only available to customers who have ordered at the restaurant and are limited to two per person to stop anyone intending to order excess amounts for re-sale purposes.

Mug glass – 2,090 yen and Cup glass – 1,100 yen

T-Shirts (S,M,L,XL) – 2,970 yen and Die-cut sticker – 385 yen

The “Chiikawa Ramen Buta” restaurant will open on the 15th of November, from 11:00 to 23:00 (last entry 22:00) daily.

Advance reservations are required, with customers needing to enter a lottery for their preferred date and time via the Live Pocket Ticket system.

Applications for the advance reservation lottery will be accepted until the 3rd of November at 23:59 JST, with successful applicants being notified between Monday, November 4th and Friday, November 8th, 2024.

If you don’t manage to secure tickets for advance reservations in the lottery, any available slots will be made available to book on the Live Pocket website up to two days before each sitting.

Any cancellations will be released to the online booking system, so if you don’t manage to secure advance tickets, make sure you check Live Pocket and the Chiikawa Ramen Buta official website regularly as you may be able to pick up a slot nearer the time.
