First-ever permanent Final Fantasy XIV goods shop to open in Tokyo

A permanent retail location dedicated entirely to the hit MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV is set to open its doors in Tokyo’s Akihabara district this December.
The new “FINAL FANTASY XIV GOODS SHOP AKIHABARA” will be located inside the craft beer and game bar “EXBAR TOKYO plus AKIHABARA” and will be the first permanent shop dedicated specifically to Final Fantasy XIV merchandise.

The interior design is themed after the bustling markets of Gridania, one of the game’s iconic starting city-states, providing an immersive shopping experience for Warriors of Light.

To celebrate the opening, the shop will offer advance sales of several new items before they reach other retailers.

The lineup includes a “Starlight Mug,” a “Starlight Cushion Cover,” and a gaming mousepad featuring art from the latest expansion, Dawntrail (Golden Legacy).

Fans can expect the shop to continue stocking seasonal and new items as they are released.

A special promotional campaign will also be held to commemorate the launch.
Customers who purchase 3,000 yen (tax included) or more of Final Fantasy XIV goods will receive a commemorative postcard.

This bonus is limited to one per person per day and will be available while supplies last.
The venue itself, “EXBAR TOKYO plus,” is a unique entertainment spot managed by Taito where visitors can enjoy retro games alongside food and drinks.

It features Taito’s proprietary “Shall We Tap?” self-serve beer system, allowing guests to pour their own craft beer, sours, or highballs from 24 distinct taps using a prepaid card.

The “FINAL FANTASY XIV GOODS SHOP AKIHABARA” is scheduled to open on Friday, December 19, 2025.

It is located in the Akihabara East-West Free Passage at 1-6-1 Kanda Sakumacho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
Depending on congestion, numbered tickets may be distributed for entry, with updates provided via the store’s official social media accounts.
