Fender and Godzilla’s massive new collaboration includes a $37,000 guitar
A massive new collaboration has been announced between the legendary American guitar brand Fender and the “King of the Monsters,” Godzilla.
The new “Fender | Godzilla 70th Anniversary Collaboration Collection” is a wide-ranging lineup that includes three different, limited-edition electric guitars, as well as a variety of other accessories, apparel, and even a themed cafe drink.
The headline item of the collection is the “Limited Edition Masterbuilt Godzilla Stratocaster.”
This one-of-a-kind masterpiece guitar was created by the Fender Custom Shop master builder Andy Hicks and the artist Tom Neeley.
It features a hand-painted body with artwork featuring various different eras of Godzilla.
The front glows under a blacklight, and it has a built-in electronic circuit that allows the player to unleash Godzilla’s iconic roar through their amplifier at the push of a button.
Two other “Made in Japan” models will also be released, a blue version for general retail and a black, store-exclusive version.
These guitars feature a unique, built-in distortion circuit that, when activated, will cause the Godzilla dorsal fins on the pickguard to light up.
They also come with a carry case branded with the “Fender | Godzilla 70th Anniversary Collaboration” logo.

The collaboration will also feature a special, limited-time “Godzilla Charcoal Latte” at the Fender Cafe within the Fender Flagship Tokyo store.
The various items in the new collection are scheduled to have a staggered release.
The main launch of the guitars, the picks, and the apparel is scheduled for this Saturday, the 11th of October, and will be sold at the Fender Flagship Tokyo store in Harajuku, on the Fender Japan official online store, and at other authorized Fender retailers.
The “Godzilla Distortion” pedal is scheduled to be released in Spring 2026.
