FamilyMart launches massive Demon Slayer collab with themed food and exclusive merch

Japanese convenience store chain FamilyMart has launched one of its largest-ever collaboration campaigns, this time centered on the globally popular anime franchise, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
The event, titled “Take a Break with Tanjiro and Friends at Famima,” celebrates the upcoming theatrical release of the film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Infinity Castle Arc Part 1.

The campaign, which began on Tuesday, the 15th of July, is running at all of the approximately 16,300 FamilyMart locations across the country.

A cornerstone of the collaboration is a new set of illustrations drawn by the anime studio ufotable, which depicts characters like Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Giyu, and Shinobu wearing special haori coats designed with FamilyMart’s green and blue corporate colors.

This new art is featured on a wide range of exclusive merchandise and prizes.
The campaign includes a lineup of seven original food and drink items inspired by the series’ characters:
- “Infinite” Potato Croquettes (Nori-Shio Flavor)
- ¥238

- Tanjiro’s Matcha Cream Roll (with Red Bean Paste)

- Shinobu Kocho’s Wisteria-Colored Melon Bread (Purple Sweet Potato Cream & Whipped Cream)

Multiple Demon Slayer themed promotions are set to run throughout the collaboration’s duration.
An app-based stamp rally allows users of the “FamiPay” app to collect stamps for purchasing products, which can be used to enter lotteries for prizes like a set of two Ichiban Kuji figures, life-sized posters, or FamiPay points.

A separate in-store promotion offers customers one of five exclusive clear files for every two qualifying ice cream products they purchase.

This store will offer an exclusive postcard to the first 1,000 customers who spend over ¥1,000 on qualifying goods.
No end date to the campaign has been announced, so it’s likely it will run until stock of most items has been depleted.
