Exclusive Pokémon TCG promo card revealed for World Championships 2025
New information regarding the upcoming “Pokémon World Championships 2025” was revealed during the “Pokémon Presents” broadcast held on Tuesday, the 22nd of July, 2025.
The Pokémon World Championships are the final event of the official Play! Pokémon competitive season.
It brings together the best players from around the globe who have earned an invitation through a year of national and international tournaments.
The 2025 World Championships will be held in Anaheim, California, with the three-day event scheduled to take place from Friday, the 15th of August, to Sunday, the 17th of August, 2025, local time.
This year’s world championship will see players compete for the title of World Champion in four different official Pokémon games.
The featured titles are the main series video games Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the Pokémon Trading Card Game, the augmented reality mobile game Pokémon GO, and the team-based battle game Pokémon UNITE.
The broadcast also previewed some of the promotional items and in-game gifts that will be available in conjunction with the event.
An exclusive “Paradise Resort” promotional card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game will be distributed at the event venue.
This new card is not the only promotional card available in August, as McDonald’s Japan will be giving away several exclusive cards that will only available for a 3-day period.
World Champions will take home a number of exclusive items, some of which were revealed during the “Pokémon Presents” broadcast.
There will also be a range of exclusive items given to all competitors who attend the championships.
For players of the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet video games, there was confirmation that all attendees would receive a special serial code allowing them to obtain a special version of the Pokémon “Toedscool” within the games.
