Japanese collectible toy manufacturer Medicom Toy is releasing the 50th installment of its iconic “BE@RBRICK” figure series.

BE@RBRICKs are a globally popular line of collectible art toys, featuring a standardized, bear-shaped block figure that serves as a canvas for a wide array of designs from artists, brands, and pop culture franchises.

The main numbered series are sold in a “blind box” format, where the specific design inside each package is a surprise, encouraging collecting and trading among fans.

Previous special releases have seen BE@RBRICKs with designs inspired by hololive VTubers, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Tokyo Station.

This landmark 50th series features a typically eclectic mix of licenses, with a key inclusion being a design based on the upcoming PlayStation 5 game, DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH.

The figure is modeled after the game’s protagonist, Sam Porter Bridges, and faithfully recreates his updated in-game suit.

DEATH STRANDING is a video game created by the legendary designer Hideo Kojima and his studio, Kojima Productions.
