Death Note's Light, L and Ryuk are getting new Noodle Stopper figures

A new line of prize figures based on the iconic supernatural thriller DEATH NOTE has been announced by FuRyu.

The new items will be part of the popular “Noodle Stopper Figure” series, featuring the main characters: the protagonist Light Yagami (Yagami Light), the Shinigami Ryuk, and the detective L.

Noodle Stopper Figures are a popular line of prize figures from FuRyu, designed in a sitting pose to perfectly hold down the lid of a cup of instant noodles while they cook.

They are also popular for displaying on the edges of shelves, desks, or monitors.

DEATH NOTE is the legendary manga and anime series written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata.

It tells the story of Light Yagami, a brilliant high school student who discovers a supernatural notebook that allows him to kill anyone by writing their name, and L, the eccentric genius detective who attempts to stop him.

The “Noodle Stopper Figure DEATH NOTE” line is scheduled to be released as amusement prizes in Japan over three consecutive months.

Given that these figures are distributed as amusement prizes, they will be available to be won in crane games and other arcade machines.

Light Yagami is set to launch in April 2026, followed by Ryuk in May 2026, and L in June 2026.

The figures may become available outside of Japan as, dependant on licensing, FuRyu prize products are often sold at retail by reputable hobby goods stores.

In the event the figures are sold internationally, fans can expect retailers to receive stock around 2-3 months after the initial Japanese release.
