Dark Fantasy Manga Berserk Inspires Limited Edition Premium Whisky

Specialist retailer WHISKY MEW has revealed another collaboration featuring a legendary dark fantasy manga series.

The “Berserk Label / Tullibardine 2013” scotch is set to join the brand’s curated lineup as the fourth release inspired by the acclaimed franchise.

Berserk is a globally celebrated masterpiece created by the late Kentaro Miura that has left a profound impact on the entertainment industry.

The intense story follows the relentless struggles of the lone mercenary Guts as he traverses a brutal and unforgiving world on a violent quest for vengeance.

Readers around the world continue to be enthralled by the story’s complex characters, intricate artwork, and deeply engaging supernatural elements.

Renowned whisky critic Hideo Yamaoka specifically selected a 2013 Tullibardine single malt to represent the harsh battlefields of the manga, as the distillery’s name translates to “wasteland on a hill” in Gaelic.

This premium spirit features a sweet and fruity aroma accented by nuances of cinnamon spice, dried fruit, and roasted nuts.

Drinkers will experience a rich taste where vanilla and spices seamlessly blend together, leading into a lingering and slightly woody finish.

The scotch was aged in Scotland for 12 years and features a robust alcohol by volume of 54.4 percent.

Each glass bottle contains 700ml of the malt whisky, which is designed to be highly versatile and enjoyed straight, in a highball, or mixed with hot water.

Production is strictly limited to a total of 168 bottles, with 122 of those allocated specifically for the general public.

The “Berserk Label / Tullibardine 2013” is priced at 17,600 yen (approx. $118 USD / £92 GBP).

Sales are being handled by a lottery system exclusively through the official WHISKY MEW website.

Fans who want to get hold of this exclusive release will need to be quick, as applications for the lottery are currently open and will conclude on Friday, March 6, 2026.

For those who can’t secure a bottle from this release, WHISKY MEW has also recently revealed a new premium whisky based on another iconic dark fantasy series, Hellsing, which will soon enter its lottery application period.
