Chiikawa announces first ever collab with instant coffee brand Nescafé

The first-ever collaboration has been announced between the massively popular character franchise Chiikawa and instant coffee brand Nescafé.
The partnership will see the launch of limited-edition assortment packaging and a prize campaign where customers can win exclusive, original goods.

Chiikawa, created by the illustrator Nagano, has become a cultural phenomenon in Japan, recently winning the Grand Prix at the “Japan Character Award 2025” for the third time.

The new collaboration will see a limited edition “Chiikawa Assortment Pack” released for the popular “Nescafé Fuwa Latte”.

This assortment will be a 15-stick variety pack that includes four of the brand’s most popular instant latte flavors.
The packaging for the assortment pack features new, original illustrations created specially for this collaboration.

To celebrate the launch, a special prize campaign will be held.
The campaign is a receipt-based lottery, where customers upload a photo of their store receipt to a special website to enter.

There are two different prize tiers available.
By purchasing one or more qualifying products, customers can receive one of four different, exclusive Chiikawa digital wallpapers.
By purchasing three or more qualifying products, customers can enter a lottery for a chance to win an exclusive “Nescafé Fuwa Latte x Chiikawa” original red mug.

A total of 3,333 of these exclusive mugs will be given away to winners of the lottery.
The “Nescafé Fuwa Latte Chiikawa Assortment Pack” is priced at ¥494 (approx. $3.36 USD/£2.50 GBP).

It will be sold at a wide range of locations, including major supermarkets, online retailers, the Nescafé Harajuku cafe, and the official Chiikawa Land and Chiikawa Market stores.
The new product and the prize campaign are both scheduled to launch on Monday, the 1st of September, 2025.
