Cardcaptor Sakura’s Exclusive Anniversary Nendoroid Finally Returns After 5 Years
Image by James RichardsonOne of Good Smile Company’s most elaborate Cardcaptor Sakura Nendoroids is returning after more than five years, with Sakura Kinomoto’s special “Always Together ~Pinky Promise~” figure getting another production run.
Nendoroid #1533 was originally released in May 2021 as part of a collaboration celebrating CLAMP’s 30th anniversary and Good Smile Company’s 20th anniversary, while Cardcaptor Sakura itself was marking 25 years since the manga began serialization.
Rather than recreating one of Sakura’s familiar outfits from the anime, the figure is based on a special illustration drawn by CLAMP specifically for the anniversary project.
The approximately 10 cm Nendoroid adapts Sakura’s appearance from that artwork into Good Smile’s chibi figure style, complete with the elaborate outfit and accessories needed to recreate the original illustration.
Three interchangeable face plates are included, covering Sakura’s cheerful standard expression, a playful wink and a wide-eyed blank expression that provides a noticeably different option for more lighthearted displays.
Additional parts expand the posing options beyond the original illustration, including a butterfly that can be paired with Sakura and dedicated parts for recreating the “Pinky Promise” pose that gives the figure its name.
The “Always Together” artwork was later adapted into a much larger 1/7 scale Sakura Kinomoto figure, which recreated the same anniversary design with an elaborate flower-filled base and eventually released in 2023.
That scale figure stands around 53 cm tall including its base, making the returning Nendoroid a considerably more compact way to add the same CLAMP-designed version of Sakura to your collection.
Pre-orders for the “Nendoroid Sakura Kinomoto: Always Together ~Pinky Promise~,” which is priced at ¥6,500 (approx. $42 USD / £31 GBP), are now open via Good Smile Company’s official Japanese online store until September 30, 2026.
CLAMP’s official fan store in Japan, “CLAMP FANS,” will begin accepting reservations from September 7 and will include an exclusive mini acrylic stand as a bonus.
Shipping from both stores is currently scheduled for January 2027.
US fans can also order the exclusive Nendoroid directly from Good Smile Company US, where it is priced at $41.99 with shipping expected between April 1 and June 30 2027.
