Captain Pikachu is the star of affordable new Pokémon merch line

Japanese retail chain 3COINS has announced a new line of exclusive merchandise based on the currently airing Pokémon television anime.
This new collection is the second phase of a larger summer Pokémon promotion at the store, following a “Poké Peace” themed release in July.

3COINS, operated by Pal Group Holdings, is a popular lifestyle brand in Japan known for selling a wide variety of stylish household goods, accessories, and other items at affordable price points, with many products costing around ¥330.

This new lineup focuses on characters as they appear in the latest iteration of the long-running animated series.

The designs feature prominent characters like Captain Pikachu, as well as the evolved forms of the Paldea region’s starter Pokémon, such as Meowscarada, Crocalor, and Quaxwell.

The collection includes a range of practical, daily-use items that align with the 3COINS brand identity.
Some of the items in the lineup include:
- Canister of Stickers: ¥550

- Sticky Note Set: ¥330

- Clear File: ¥330

- Translucent Drawstring Bag (2 varieties): ¥330 each

- Tote Bag in a Canister: ¥1,100

- PVC Pouch: ¥330

Due to the high demand expected for this collaboration, a number of sales restrictions will be in place.
On the launch day, access to the Pokémon merchandise area in physical 3COINS stores will be limited via a pre-lottery system to manage crowds.
Purchase limits will also be enforced – in physical stores, customers will be limited to buying a maximum of two of any single item.
On the official “PAL CLOSET” online store, the limit will be set at three of any single item per transaction.
The new Pokémon anime merchandise collection is scheduled to go on sale at 3COINS stores nationwide, and online via the PAL CLOSET online store, on Saturday, the 2nd of August, 2025.
