Bleach: TYBW Finale “The Calamity” Gets US Movie Premiere This June
Fans of the iconic supernatural action series Bleach have a massive cinematic event to look forward to this summer.
VIZ Media and Fathom Entertainment are teaming up to give the epic conclusion of Tite Kubo’s saga a proper big-screen send-off.
Before the fourth and final part, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity, officially begins its television broadcast in July 2026, the first three episodes will hit movie screens across the United States for a special limited-time screening.
Bleach is a defining shonen staple famous for its incredibly stylish character designs, gripping sword battles, and deep spiritual lore.
The Thousand-Year Blood War anime adaptation successfully revitalized the long-running series when it premiered in late 2022, splitting the manga’s ultimate, chaotic arc into four distinct parts.
Following the intense climax of Part 3 in late 2024, The Calamity promises to deliver the ultimate showdown.
The story picks up with the Wandenreich taking control of the Royal Palace, transforming it into the towering Wahr Welt, while Ichigo Kurosaki and the surviving Thirteen Court Guard Squads mount a desperate final assault to protect the Three Worlds.
To celebrate the beginning of the end, Fathom Events is hosting a nationwide screening that offers attendees much more than just early access to the episodes.
The limited-time screenings are scheduled to run at participating theaters across the US from Thursday, June 25, through Monday, June 29, 2026.
Audiences will have the choice to experience the premiere in either the original Japanese audio with English subtitles or the English-dubbed format.
Alongside the three episodes, attendees will be treated to a special behind-the-scenes conversation featuring original creator Tite Kubo, chief series director Tomohisa Taguchi, and series director Hikaru Murata.
Tickets for this highly anticipated theatrical premiere are scheduled to go on sale starting Friday, May 29, 2026.
Following the limited cinematic run, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity will make its official television debut in July 2026 on TV Tokyo in Japan.
For international viewers, the series is expected to resume its regular streaming schedule on Hulu in the United States, alongside Disney+ and Ani-One Asia in other global territories.
