BANDAI SPIRITS to re-release “Advance of Z” Master Grade Gunpla kits
BANDAI SPIRITS has announced the re-release of four Master Grade (MG) Gunpla kits based on the popular Gundam side story, Advance of Z: The Flag of Titans.
Advance of Z: The Flag of Titans is a series that serves as a spin-off from the Universal Century timeline stories of the Mobile Suit Gundam universe.
Set concurrently with Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, it focuses on the activities of the Titans Test Team (T3), a special unit within the Earth Federation Forces’ elite Titans organization.
The “Master Grade (MG)” Gunpla line is known for its accurate scale models that boast highly detailed internal frames, superior articulation and external armor.
These kits provide a challenging yet rewarding building experience, allowing enthusiasts to recreate complex Mobile Suit designs with precision.
The Advance of Z designs are particularly well-suited for the MG format due to their transforming parts and additional components.
The four re-released Advance of Z kits available for pre-order are:
MG 1/100 Gundam TR-1 [Hazel Custom]
This kit reproduces the Hazel Custom, one of the primary Mobile Suits of the T3 unit.
It features entirely new molding for its exterior armor, auxiliary actuator units, reinforced leg parts, movable booster pods, backpack, shield booster, and beam rifle.
The internal structure of this kit utilizes the highly articulate and detailed basic frame created for the “MG Gundam Mk-II Ver.2.0” model kit which ensures excellent poseability and stability.
This kit is priced at 4,950 yen (approx. $34.41 USD / £25.53 GBP).
MG 1/100 Gundam TR-1 [Advanced Hazel]
Representing a fully remodeled version of the Hazel II Gundam, this kit captures the Advanced Hazel’s distinctive form.
It reproduces unique features such as the high-performance optical sensor unit in the head and the sub-arm unit on the waist with its deployment mechanism.
The kit includes two shield boosters that can be mounted on the backpack, allowing for its signature powerful appearance.
The gunpla kit is priced at 6,050 yen (approx. $42.06 USD / £31.21 GBP).
MG 1/100 G Parts [Hrududu]
This G-Parts unit allows builders to form the formidable [Hazel-Rah] mobile suit by combining it with the separately sold MG 1/100 Gundam TR-1 [Hazel Custom] kit.
MG 1/100 G Parts [Hrududu] (Combat Color)
This variant of the Hrududu is designed to be compatible with both the MG 1/100 Advanced Hazel and the MG 1/100 Hazel Custom (Combat Deployment Color) Gunpla kits.
By combining this product with a compatible Mobile Suit (sold separately), builders can recreate the imposing TR-1 [Hazel-Rah] second form.
This combined form is particularly striking, characterized by its powerful silhouette created by four expansive wing units.
Both G Parts [Hrududu] kits are priced at 2,420 yen (approx. $16.82 USD / £12.48 GBP).
These model kits are now available to pre-order with shipping to customers expected to take place starting from August 2025.
Pre-orders for these kits can be placed via the Premium Bandai website, Bandai’s official online store for exclusive and limited-run items.
Given the popularity of the Advance of Z designs and the appeal of their modular systems, as well as the fact that 2 kits need to be bought to create the [Hazel-Rah] Gundams, these kits are expected to be highly sought after.
