Bandai Reveals 2026 Roadmap for Gundam Card Game

Bandai’s Card Division has officially unveiled the 2026 roadmap for the Gundam Card Game during the “GUNDAM CARD GAME NEXT STRATEGY 2026” broadcast.

The presentation revealed that the game has surpassed a cumulative total of 500 million cards shipped worldwide.

It was also noted that over 700,000 participants have attended official events since the game’s launch.

To celebrate the upcoming first anniversary in July, the publisher unveiled several new booster sets and a significant expansion to the tournament structure.

Booster Pack Vol. 4 “Phantom Aria [GD04]” is scheduled to launch worldwide on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

This set introduces Mobile Suit Victory Gundam units as Blue cards and Turn A Gundam units as White cards.

It also expands existing series into new colors, featuring Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury characters like Suletta Mercury appearing as Green cards for the first time.

Following this, the “SD Gundam G Generation Eternal” collaboration products will arrive on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

The first anniversary celebration culminates with the release of Booster Pack Vol. 5 “Freedom Ascension [GD05]” on Saturday, July 25, 2026.

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny joins the roster in this set, with the Strike Freedom Gundam appearing as a Blue card.

Mobile Fighter G Gundam also makes its debut, featuring Shining Gundam and Domon Kasshu as White cards alongside a “Shining Finger” command card.

Competitive players can also look forward to the “WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 26-27,” which will now include store-level qualifiers to broaden participation across two competitive seasons.

Booster Pack Vol. 4 “Phantom Aria [GD04]”
- Release Date: April 25, 2026

This pack adds units from Victory Gundam and Turn A Gundam to the game.

Starter Deck “Generation Pulse [ST10]” & Extra Booster “Eternal Nexus [EB01]”
- Release Date: June 27, 2026

These items feature a collaboration with the mobile game SD Gundam G Generation Eternal and include cards designed for multiplayer formats.

Booster Pack Vol. 5 “Freedom Ascension [GD05]”
- Release Date: July 25, 2026

This 1st Anniversary set introduces Gundam SEED Destiny and G Gundam.

Custom Deck Box “Freedom Ascension [SC01]”
- Release Date: July 25, 2026

This set allows for immediate deck construction, containing 125 carefully selected reprint cards (25 of each color) and eight packs of GD05 as well as a bonus pack containing one of three EX cards.
