BANDAI offers best look yet at the upcoming MGSD Gundam Aerial model kit

New official product images have been released for the upcoming “MGSD Gundam Aerial” Gunpla model kit from Bandai Spirits.
The new kit is the fourth release in the “Master Grade SD” (MGSD) line, a high-end brand that incorporates the advanced technology of Master Grade kits into a super-deformed (SD) scale.

The Gundam Aerial is the protagonist’s mobile suit from the popular and critically acclaimed anime series, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury.

This new model kit brings the iconic design to the MGSD format, which is known for its incredible detail, complex internal frames, and advanced gimmicks packed into a compact, chibi-style form.

The kit faithfully reproduces many of the Aerial’s signature features from the anime.

The clear parts of the Shell Units across the body feature an opening and closing gimmick.

A separate set of blue parts is also included, which can be swapped in to represent the mobile suit’s awakened “Permet Score Six” state.
The model comes with a beam rifle and two beam sabers as armaments.

Its most famous weapon, the Escutcheon, is also included, which is a shield composed of eleven different remote weapons known as GUND-Bits, or Bit Staves.

The shield can be broken down into its individual components.

These Bit Staves can then be attached to various points on the Gundam Aerial’s body to recreate its “Bit-on Form.”

They can also be displayed in a deployed, all-range attack formation by using a separately sold “Weapon Display Base.”

The “MGSD Gundam Aerial” is priced at ¥4,290 (approx. $29 USD/£22 GBP).
It is scheduled to be released at general retail stores from Saturday, the 23rd of August, 2025.
