Bandai fully reveals the MG Gundam Barbatos Lupus ahead of its launch this week

Bandai Spirits has officially revealed the final box art and product images for a highly anticipated new Master Grade (MG) Gunpla from the Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans series.
The final details for the “MG 1/100 Gundam Barbatos Lupus” come ahead of its launch later this week.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans is a popular entry in the Gundam franchise, known for its gritty story following the child soldiers of Tekkadan.

The series is currently celebrating its 10th anniversary, and the Gundam Barbatos Lupus is one of the upgraded forms of the main protagonist’s mobile suit.

The box art features an illustration of the mobile suit wielding its massive Sword Mace.

The MG line of 1/100 scale models is known for its detailed recreation of the internal Gundam Frame.

This Lupus version features several upgrades, including improved shoulder articulation and a new waist mechanism that allows for a greater range of forward-and-backward motion, enabling more dynamic and “supple” poses.

The backpack’s sub-arms can be deployed without swapping parts, and the arm-mounted 200mm cannons feature a rotating and sliding gimmick to set up the firing position.

The kit also includes joints to mount the Twin Mace on the backpack, and a pilot figure of Mikazuki Augus.

This Master Grade reveal is the latest in a major push for the Iron-Blooded Orphans 10th anniversary.

It joins the recent, stunning reveal of the “METAL BUILD Gundam Barbatos” at the Tamashii Nation 2025 event, as well as the opening of pre-orders for the “METAL ROBOT SPIRITS Gundam Marchosias” from the Urdr-Hunt side story.

Alongside the Barbatos Lupus art, Bandai also revealed the package art for the “Option Parts Set Gunpla 18 (Build Booster Set).”

The “MG 1/100 Gundam Barbatos Lupus” will be priced at 7,150 yen (approx. $46.44 USD / £35.29 GBP).

The “Option Parts Set Gunpla 18 (Build Booster Set)” will be priced at 1,210 yen (approx. $7.86 USD / £5.97 GBP).

Both kits are scheduled to be released on November 22.
