Bandai Fully Reveals the MG Full Armor ZZ Gundam Ver.Ka Ahead of Release

Bandai Spirits Hobby Division has officially released new product images for a highly detailed model kit from the Universal Century timeline.
The “MG 1/100 Full Armor ZZ Gundam Ver.Ka” belongs to the prestigious Master Grade collection, which is celebrated for its intricate internal skeletons and mechanical complexity.

Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ is a direct sequel to the events of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, airing originally in 1986.

It follows the journey of Judau Ashta and his friends as they are swept into the conflict between the AEUG and Neo Zeon.

The ZZ Gundam itself is a high-output, transformable machine that serves as the ultimate evolution of the Zeta project.

The “Ver.Ka” designation signifies that this model was produced under the complete supervision of mechanical designer Hajime Katoki.

This specific line is famous for its emphasis on realistic proportions, extensive water-slide decals, and a meticulous attention to mechanical detail that appeals to veteran modelers.

This release features the Full Armor system, which consists of heavy extra plating designed to maximize the machine’s defensive and offensive capabilities.

The designers have carefully adjusted the fit of these parts to ensure that the mobile suit retains a sleek and balanced silhouette rather than appearing sluggish or overly bulky.

One of the primary features of this model is its versatility, as the outer armor can be entirely removed to reveal the “Enhanced ZZ Gundam” underneath.
For its armament, the set includes the massive Hyper Mega Cannon, which can be mounted onto the backpack by swapping out the missile pod units.

The signature Double Beam Rifle is also included and is engineered to be either held in the hand or securely attached to the forearm for stable posing.

Standing as a 1/100 scale piece, the construction utilizes plastic components and includes two beam sabers along with two shields for a complete combat loadout.

To ensure a high-quality finish, the package contains a set of water-slide decals and stickers that allow builders to replicate Katoki’s specific aesthetic.

The articulation points are designed to support the weight of the full armor while maintaining the ability to strike dynamic action poses.

Lead wires and fingertip parts are also provided to enhance the realism of the display.
The model kit is priced at 12,540 yen (approx. $84 USD / £66 GBP), and it is scheduled to be released on Saturday, February 21, 2026.

This model will be available at major hobby retailers throughout Japan and through various official online stores such as HobbyLink Japan.
