Bandai Confirms Re-Release for Exclusive Wing Gundam Figure

Bandai Namco has announced the re-release of a high-end figure of the Wing Gundam, featuring the iconic mobile suit in a unique colour palette designed by Hajime Katoki.
The “GUNDAM FIX FIGURATION METAL COMPOSITE Wing Gundam (EW Version) Early Color ver.” captures the vibrant tricolour scheme of the original TV version while retaining the sophisticated engineering of the Metal Composite line.

New Mobile Report Gundam Wing debuted in 1995 as the second “alternative” timeline series in the franchise, deviating from the usual Universal Century setting.

It follows five young pilots sent to Earth to wage a guerilla war against the corrupt United Earth Sphere Alliance.

While this specific design does not appear in the Endless Waltz OVA, it was created by mechanical designer Hajime Katoki to retroactively align the TV series’ initial machine with the movie’s aesthetic.

Often referred to as the “Early Type,” this figure bridges the gap between the two designs.

Standing at approximately 18cm, this pre-painted figure is composed of ABS, PVC, and die-cast parts to ensure durability and a premium feel.

It features a full transformation gimmick into Bird Mode and includes detailed mechanisms such as the energy cartridge loading system for the Buster Rifle.

The figure comes with a variety of accessories, including the Shield, Beam Saber, and three types of energy cartridges to recreate various scenes.

Sales are being conducted via a lottery system on the Tamashii Web Shop within Premium Bandai.

Applications are open from Thursday, February 12, 2026, until Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 23:00 JST, with winners announced on Thursday, February 26, 2026.

The figure is priced at 28,600 yen (approx. $190 USD / £150 GBP), with shipping scheduled for March 2026.
