Bandai Confirms Re-release for 4 Popular Gundam Unicorn and IBO Gunpla Kits

Re-releases of four model kits from the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn and Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans series have been announced.

The lineup offers collectors a chance to acquire limited-run kits that feature unique specifications or represent specific variations from their respective animated series.

Leading the selection is the “RG 1/144 Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee Norn (Final Battle Ver.) [Special Coating].”

This Real Grade kit depicts the “Black Lion” piloted by Riddhe Marcenas during the climactic final battles of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn.

The “Special Coating” gives the dark blue armor a metallic finish, while the psycho-frame is molded in a translucent green to represent the machine’s awakened state.

It includes the unit’s signature equipment, such as the Revolving Launcher attached to the Beam Magnum and the Armed Armor XC and DE, allowing for the reproduction of iconic scenes from the anime.

Also returning from the Universal Century timeline are the “HG 1/144 Gelgoog (Unicorn Ver.)” and the “HG 1/144 Zaku II Kai B Type.”

These High Grade kits represent the mass-produced mobile suits utilized by the “Sleeves,” the Neo Zeon remnant organization led by Full Frontal.

Both units feature the distinctive wrist and chest engravings that define the faction’s aesthetic, setting them apart from their One Year War counterparts.

The Zaku II Kai B Type is specifically modeled with the “Fritz Helm” headgear often seen on commander units or specific variants within the Universal Century lore.

From the Post Disaster timeline, the “HG 1/144 Mobile Armor Hashmal” returns to the catalog.

This massive kit replicates the terrifying unmanned weapon from Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans that was awakened during the series’ second season.

As a relic of the Calamity War, the Hashmal is designed to hunt humans autonomously and is accompanied by its smaller support unit, the Pluma, which is also included in the set.

The model captures the creature-like design of the Mobile Armor and includes effect parts to replicate its beam weapon, a technology that was considered lost and forbidden in the series’ setting.

The “RG 1/144 Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee Norn (Final Battle Ver.) [Special Coating]” is priced at 12,650 yen (approx. $81 USD / £60 GBP).

The “HG 1/144 Mobile Armor Hashmal” is priced at 4,400 yen (approx. $28 USD / £21 GBP).

The “HG 1/144 Gelgoog (Unicorn Ver.)” is priced at 2,090 yen (approx. $13 USD / £10 GBP), while the “HG 1/144 Zaku II Kai B Type” is priced at 1,760 yen (approx. $11 USD / £8 GBP).

All four items are scheduled to ship in May 2026, and pre-orders are now open via the official Premium Bandai online store.
