New Initial D car model has a surprising use
An impressive new model of the AE86 Trueno Initial D is now available to order and it’s been created with a surprising use in mind.
Pre-orders are now open for a wet wipe case that recreates the iconic black and white Toyota AE86 Trueno driven by Takumi Fujiwara in the anime and manga series Initial D.
This model reproduction is a relatively large size compared to normal car models, coming in at 27cm long, and has impressive details such as the brake calipers peeking out from the wheels, retractable headlights and an accurately recreated grille.
The attention to detail present is so great that even the wheels rotate.
Two versions have been created, the first based on the Trueno’s original appearance with the Fujiwara Tofu Shop livery.
The second version is based on the Trueno’s later appearance as part of Project D with a black carbon fiber hood.
It is intended to be used as a case for a variety of wet tissue products such as wet wipes, face wipes, baby wipes etc. that are produced in roughly the same size.
Even if you don’t use it to store wet wipes, it still offers great value as an affordable 27cm long model reproduction of the AE86 Trueno.

Each version costs 7,700 yen (approx. $48.96 USD / £39.45 GBP) and can be ordered directly from the manufacturer via their online store, Camshop.jp, with global shipping options available.
An exact release date has not yet been provided but Camshop.jp are advising that orders are expected to begin shipping from late January.
