A BABYMETAL x Resident Evil collab is coming in 2026 with exclusive merch

Capcom and the Japanese kawaii metal band BABYMETAL have announced a major collaboration, which will see the release of a range of exclusive merchandise in 2026.
The collaboration is set to blend Capcom’s legendary survival horror franchise Resident Evil (Biohazard) with the idol inspired heavy metal group.

BABYMETAL, active since 2010, is a band that has gained immense global popularity for its unique sound and energetic performances.

This new project will be part of celebrations for the 30th anniversary of the horror game series in 2026, which Capcom officially kicked off in August with the release of new commemorative artwork.

The series is currently preparing for the launch of its ninth main installment, Resident Evil Requiem, on February 27, 2026.

The collaboration was revealed in a special promotional video featuring the iconic Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village.

In the video, she formally announces:
“I came all this way tonight because I have something to tell you… Resident Evil, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary next year, and BABYMETAL have agreed to produce related goods.”
At this time, only the official collaboration logo has been revealed, and the specific details about what merchandise will be released are still unknown.

The collaboration is scheduled to launch sometime in 2026, with further details on the product lineup expected to be announced in the coming months.
