“Gundam Figure Exhibition” taking place in Akihabara until September 2025

A new “GUNDAM FIGURE EXHIBITION” has opened in Tokyo’s iconic anime and manga district, Akihabara.

The event is showcasing a huge collection of completed figures from the “Gundam” franchise and is being held at Bandai’s flagship store “TAMASHII NATIONS STORE TOKYO”, which is located in Akihabara.

The exhibition is scheduled to run for an extended period between March 27th and September 8th 2025.

The “GUNDAM FIGURE EXHIBITION” will feature dedicated displays highlighting popular product lines under the “TAMASHII NATIONS” umbrella, including the “ROBOT Spirits,” “METAL BUILD,” and “METAL ROBOT Spirits” series.

These brands are known for their high-quality construction, intricate detailing, and faithful representations of mobile suits and other mecha from the various “Gundam” anime and manga series.

This huge screen will play videos synchronized with dynamic lighting

A highlight of the exhibition will be an immersive photo spot that integrates physical “Gundam” figures with synchronized video projections and dynamic lighting effects displayed on a large monitor spanning approximately five meters in length.

This monumental exhibit is designed to offer visitors a unique and engaging experience that blends three-dimensional collectibles with digital media, showcasing the “Gundam” universe in a visually compelling manner.

Additionally, a separate photo opportunity area will be available where visitors can take pictures with standees or displays featuring characters from “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX”, the latest installment in the “Gundam” universe.

Three monitor displays within the TAMASHII NATIONS STORE TOKYO will feature special, limited-time video presentations commemorating the birthdays of specific “Gundam” characters.

From Tuesday, April 1st, to Monday, April 7th, 2025, a dedicated video will be shown to celebrate the birthday of Setsuna F Seiei, the main protagonist of the “Mobile Suit Gundam 00” anime series.

Tamashii Nations is also planning additional character birthday projects that will incorporate original illustrations created by their in-house artists, further enhancing the event’s appeal for fans.

Visitors to the “GUNDAM FIGURE EXHIBITION” will receive a complimentary “SPECIAL BOOK” that serves as a guide to the primary brands of “Gundam” figures developed under the Tamashii Nations banner.

This promotional booklet will be available to all store visitors while supplies last, with a limit of one copy distributed per person during the event period.

The publication is intended to offer insights into the product lines and the craftsmanship involved in their creation.

The event will also feature the sale of varius Gundam figures as well as new merchandise.
