What to expect at KIWL Go-Go 2024: Charity Run/Walk Challenge
KIWL Go-Go 2024: Charity Run/Walk Challenge is a virtual charity run challenge, to run or walk at least marathon distance of over 42km in November 2024.
There will be a prize draw for people taking part in the challenge.
KIWL (The Knights In White Lycra) are a fundraising volunteer group from diverse backgrounds.
Through participating in sporting and social events, they give marginalized children living in care better prospects of a successful outcome in adult life.
Together with sponsors, participants and donors, they have raised 164.8 million yen since 2013.
The event is ran in partnership with charity Mirai no Mori is a non-profit organization that creates life-changing outdoor programs for abused, neglected, and orphaned youths in Japan, supporting their growth into happy and successful young adults.
When will KIWL Go-Go 2024: Charity Run/Walk Challenge take place?
The event takes place virtually over the month of November 2024.
An in person challenge is taking place on the 10th November 2024, from 09:30.
Participants can select to run or walk 3km or complete a 10km or 21km run. Full details can be found here.
How much does KIWL Go-Go 2024: Charity Run/Walk Challenge cost?
The participation fee is a donation of 5,000 Yen for adults and 3,000 yen for university students.
How do I get to KIWL Go-Go 2024: Charity Run/Walk Challenge?
While the event is being held virtually over the month of November, an in person run is being held on the 10th November 2024 at Tamagawa Greenspace.
Nearest Station: Tamagawa Greenspace can be accessed by Futakotamagawa Station using the Tōkyū Den-en-toshi Line (DT7) or the Tōkyū Ōimachi Line (OM15).
It is also accessible from Futako-Shinchi Station using the Tōkyū Den-en-toshi Line (DT8) or the Tōkyū Ōimachi Line (OM16).
